Decarbonization and chemistry Summer School

At the Heart of Decarbonization !

From June 22 to July 5, 2025, the Gay-Lussac Federation invites you to participate in the first edition of its Summer School, hosted at ENSCMu in Mulhouse, Alsace region, France.

Overview

This first summer university, entirely dedicated to decarbonization, addresses one of the major challenges of our time. It is organized by the Gay-Lussac Federation and its 20 schools of chemistry and process engineering.

Chemistry in France is the industrial sector which has considerably reduced its  CO2  emissions with a drop of 65% since 1990. In its latest decarbonization trajectory published at the end of 2022, it has set itself an ambitious objective of further reducing its emissions of CO2 by 36% in 2030 compared to 2015.

In connection with this major subject and as part of the call for expressions of interest “Skills and Professions of the Future”, the consortium composed of the Gay-Lussac Federation, France Chimie and the ADIUT (Assembly of DUTs) have launched the Decarbochim project which focuses on the “decarbonization of industry” priority of the France 2030 plan.
