International Elite Engineering School (Chimie Shanghai)
The Internationa Elite Engineering School is a chemical engineering program run in partnership with the East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) was established in 2009. In 2019, it was recognised as an excellence initiative by the Chinese Ministry of Education.
As of September 2019, the programme has officially become a joint institution, known as the International Elite Engineering School (or Chimie Shanghai in French).
The International Elite Engineering School program runs over 6 years: the first 3 years are in the Chinese University with a scientific education and introduction to the French language. The 3 following may also take place in Shanghai with a master’s degree which opens to a certification by the French Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur (CTI) or in the schools of the Federation with a final year of specialisation and a 6 month internship in industry.
Each year, the International Elite Engineering School welcoms 100 students from 18 chinese. 35 to 40% of the students are girls. The educational program is very similar to the Integrated Preparatory Classes of the FGL and include French lessons.
After 3 years, fourty students enter one of the graduate schools in the Federation, in France.
